Site Access

A valid Argonne user badge or gate pass is required to enter the Argonne campus. If you do not already have a valid badge, complete the site access/gate pass application.  For general entry requirements, visit the Argonne Site Entry Requirements page. Dates for the site registration should be the date of arrival and departure not just the meeting date

 

Gate Pass Application

After completing the application, select “Submit Visitor Registration.” Paula Dahlberg will be notified automatically.

Please:

  • Complete your full education history, including all degrees earned before your Ph.D.
  • Provide a brief title, position, or description of duties—for example, professorscientist, or researcher.
  • Provide the requested passport and visa information.
  • Upload a current curriculum vitae (CV).
  •  

Requirements for Foreign Nationals

All non-U.S. citizen attendees must submit an up-to-date CV with their gate pass application in accordance with current Department of Energy and laboratory policies.

The CV must include:

  • All science and technology specialties
  • All employment positions, with no unexplained gaps
  • The current and accurate names of all academic institutions attended

Please briefly explain any gaps, including parental or medical leave, career transitions, or periods between positions.

 

Argonne Guest House

If you are staying at the Argonne Guest House, use your Guest House check-in and check-out dates as your site access dates.

 

Processing Time and Deadline

Site access applications for most non-U.S. citizens take approximately 30 plus business days to process. Please submit your application as soon as possible and no later than September 3, 2026.
